You probably already know this, but I only use stainless steel materials to make my jewelry!
Here are some informative points to better know what you are wearing :)
Stainless steel : a true revolution in the world of artisan jewelers.
(small technical point) : stainless steel used for the creation of jewelry is 316 L, which contains 2% additional molybdenum (better resistance to corrosion and acids)
Here is a summary of its advantages:
It does not rust, resists corrosion and water, is qualitative in the very long term and allows the jewelry to be preserved for a long time.
Is hypoallergenic:
Important if you have sensitive skin, it does not cause reactions or irritations on the skin.
Economic :
Thanks to this material, I am able to offer you jewelry with unique designs, assembled by hand, without breaking the bank, because for equivalent work done in silver, for example, the price would easily triple or even quadruple!
Ecological:
Its production emits little carbon dioxide, it does not release nickel into the environment and it is 100% recyclable!
And its gold-plated version!
Gold plated stainless steel is very similar to regular plating, it is also a thin layer of gold (usually 18k) except it is done on stainless steel!
Plating process: PVD
PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition.
It is a method of metallization by physical vapor deposition by spraying.
It has many advantages:
Ion plating is a clean and environmentally friendly process. It does not require a bath, chemicals, water consumption, or gas or other emissions.
Jewelry becomes more durable and is even reinforced with titanium nitride, which is a hard, corrosion-resistant metal compound.
Don't panic!
Plating on stainless steel does have a small disadvantage regarding complex meshes, because I usually use chains with a lot of details and different links: it is not done on the hollows or different torsion/friction points!
Don't panic, this is not a quality defect and only concerns very specific areas, most of the time invisible (inside a link, etc.)
Freshwater pearls
I love working with freshwater pearls, and for good reason: each pearl is unique, which makes each of my creations just as singular.
By using exclusively cultured freshwater pearls, I bring a touch of authenticity and charm to each piece of jewelry.
These pearls stand out for their varied shapes and vibrant reflections, which helps create pieces that truly reflect you.
However, it is important to cherish them to preserve their beauty.
They are sensitive to shocks, chemicals, alcohol and other substances , so be careful when applying perfume or diving into the pool!
